Notes

This pattern has been a delight to crochet. I’m using two skeins of unmarked fingering weight yarn that I purchased in Turkey. I printed the Mezzaluna Wrap June 29 update.pdf and the pattern has been spot on. I couldn’t make heads or tails out of the simplified pattern. (sorry but I’m an old fashioned crocheter of 40+years).

I wanted to make the shawl longer so I repeated rows 16-18 two more times for a total of “3 sets of rows 16-18”.

This is what I can’t quite figure out; why do you not turn the work? Because, at the beginning and end of each short row, you begin with new yarn and end with that yarn. So, I did turn my work each time as I felt the shawl edges were beginning to “turn up”. Also, I did not do the “slip stitch” to start the first short row. When it was time to start the “first” short row, I counted 23 bobble stitches in from the edge and started the short row on the dc of 24 bb stitch. For the following short rows, I followed the pattern directions which stated to start on the 8th stitch in.

This shawl has such a lovely drape to it and it’s a very easy pattern to adapt to any size. Thank you to the designer for sharing this pattern on Ravelry.
