I wanted something to work on in between the miles of garter stitch in my Bridgewater shawl, and the miles of stockinette in my Earth and Sky. This seemed like a nice choice!

8/4-blocked it! And boy did it grow.

I was very anxious to get this book. I have two other books from Loop in London, and once this came out it had to be mine! I managed to get a friend’s daughter to bring me a copy from there to Texas. It was well worth it. Although the other shawl Brown Eyed Susan, was my initial favorite, I was swayed into knitting this one first somehow.

And wow! What a wonderful pattern. Very well written, and luckily found all the errata before beginning. This was just the ticket to get me back into knitting lace. First of all I always appreciate it when the purl row doesn’t have any patterning, so that was nice.

It was my second time doing nupps, and I finally seemed to master making them. Of course, it helped that there were several hundred in the pattern. First time using Pashmina, and it was a lovely yarn. Soft and the dye job was superb, full of rich colors. Although the color bled severely when I washed it, but I just used a little vinegar to help the color hold.

I have a feeling this will be a shawl I wear again and again.
