Improvising the pattern. Ended up making the cable much more compact than the original, because it just looked better. Also because the yarn is DK, there were four repeats of the pattern around, rather than what appears like two.

I ended up having to decrease the number of stitches and thus making some of the stitch sections smaller in order to keep a suitable number of stitches around. Playing with gauge and yarn weights would be required to achieve the look of the original.
