Redid both hats because they were too small (ARGH).

I asked my granddaughters to design the hats they wanted for Christmas.

Rows 1, 2, 3. 4 in ? for 12, 24, 36, 48 dc.
Row 5 in Mocha in back loops, increasing for 60 dc.
Row 6 in Mocha, inc to 72 dc.
Row 7 in back loops in Parchment (72 dc).
Row 8 in Parchment (72 dc).
Row 9 in back loops in Almond (72 dc).
Row 10 11 in Almond (72 dc).
Row 12-15 in dc rib in Clarity (72 dc).

Surface crochet in front tabs of sc and along the top edge of the rib.

Tab: Join Clarity, ch 3, triple crochet into top ring of hat, 2 dc, 2 hdc, sc, sl st.
