Looking through my finished objects recently I realized I knit a whole lot more stripes than I used to! Oh leftovers!

The purple is a heavenly yarn leftover from a shawl I knit for my mother in law, and the white is also a leftover from these Wedding Spatterdash mittens for my sister.

I’m pretty sure I cast on 144 stitches on size 4 needles, with about five rounds of ribbing on each end. There is a smaller band of purple at the very top of the cowl (can be seen in third picture) where I used the yarn to the very end, and a wider band of white at the bottom when I decided the cowl needed more length. It’s a bit too wide, but is fine when pinned in place.
