Marin came out almost exactly as I hoped: big, warm, comfortable… and then I ran out of yarn. I knew I would, but I was pretending I wouldn’t. So I striped in some mystery thrift store yarn (acrylic, yuck!) and finished with that. I thought I might like the two toned look, but I just don’t, so I’ll have to do something with this knit.

!!As a note for anyone who would like to knit Marin in a worsted weight yarn, I used about 640 yards!! Three skeins of Cascade 220 would be perfect.

I found the pattern very well written and quite intuitive. There was some flipping back and forth between pages (finishing instructions, I’m looking at you), but the pattern came together very easily. I did not have any of the problems with it that I’ve seen others mention.

I’d very much like to knit this again for myself.
