this pattern hates me.
no lie, straight up HATES me.

I consider myself a fairly adequate knitter, but this pattern has me questioning my ability to even function. Every single part has led to screw ups and ripping out of rows. When I finish it I while list all of the modifications I did to get through this supposedly simple pattern.

modifications

• for the increases I just did m1l and m1r
• for the arms I add an extra stitch to each end for the last two rows and then moved those to stitch holders and used the to create a 4 stitch i cord.
• 30 stitches cast on for the hat was nowhere near big enough for me so I ended up doing 40 stitches. I also turned the cord on the hat into a loop so that it would give baby something to hold onto and something I could loop a cord through to attach to things to prevent throwing on the floor.
• I increased the rows on the i cords to 30 rows to make tying easier.
• for the decreases I did them so that they would lean in the direction of the decrease for a cleaner look.
