7/1: started these for myself but quickly realized they are going to be way too small (typical of me, my last pair of socks were too big so now I’m knee-jerking to making too small). Luckily my 7yo daughter loves them and has requested they be for her. And they fit!

I am knitting both socks at the same time so I had split the skein into two balls to begin. As the socks knit up one is distinctly more blue and the other more purple. Again, luckily, my daughter never wears two socks the same, so this works for her.

7/5: about 75% finished even though they were supposed to be my vacation knitting starting today. oops.

7/25: I took these socks to Scotland as my vacation knitting but lost all knitting mojo while there and didn’t knit a stitch. Was quite worried but went with it choosing to spend time actually participating in my vacation. Good times. And yes, even though I didn’t knit anything, they still went with me everywhere just in case the urge to knit returned. I took photos of them instead.

Now back home and decided to finish a different pair but will come back to these shortly. At least I’m knitting again!

7/28: done! and happy!!
