I’m making this up as i go along and am using a few fair isle patterns from Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Knitting Without Tears.

CO 96
2 x 2 rib for 2 inches
stockinette for 2.25 inches
first round of fair isle - 8 stitch repeat over 3 rows
3 rounds stockinette
2nd round of fair isle - 6 stitch repeat over 9 rows
3 rounds stockinette
third round of fair isle - 8 stitch repeat over 3 rows
3 rounds of stockinette
divide evenly with 6 markers, start decrease rounds
decrease 1 stitch before each marker
knit 1 round stockinette
repeat last 2 rounds until 48 stitches remain
decrease 1 stitch before each marker every round until 6 stitches left. finish off.

It came out a little big, I could have cast on fewer stitches. The wide fair isle section definitely draws the fabric in even though I tried to keep it loose. A couple of times I cut the yarn and fast forwarded to the next color. Some of my fair isle boo boos are visible in the second picture.
