Let’s do a lot of garter entrelac.

If each entrelac unit is going to be 20 stitches, then let’s do 13 units. Unless we’re feeling unlucky, in which case we probably do 12. There’s going to be an edging after all. This turned out to be 90 inches, so I could have done fewer units and made a smaller blanket. Oh well. I’m having fun.

Each entrelac square is k6, (k1p1) x 4, k6. Slip the first stitch. Cable 4/4 every 5 rows.

Photography note: I use my SAD light for photos. The colors are way less vivid in more typical lighting.

Final size is about 90” x 60”

The white edging is done with size 10 needles to match the gauge to what you get with entrelac on 8’s being on an angle. I knit it like the border of a Shetland Shawl as Elizabeth Zimmerman describes “In the English Tradition” and “Stonington Shawl” in Knitters Magazine, one edge at a time.

The flowers are out of a Nicky Epstein book I got cheap on eBay.
