I knit in one piece up to armholes so had to alter the pattern just a bit - Co 231 sts. Worked 9 rows garter stitch. Place markers for pattern 6 pm , 1 pm, (12, pm ) 18 times,2 pm 6

There are a few typos in the pattern, but they’re not too hard to figure out.

I didn’t like the working for shaping the shoulder edge on the fronts. Something like “following alternating row” was confusing to me. I finally decided it meant “next row.” Why they couldn’t use right-side/wrong-side designations, or even just “next row,” I don’t know! So now I won’t be sure I interpreted the pattern correctly until I go to sew in the sleeves.

I didn’t bind-off the body. I put the last stitches on a holder so that I can just knit across them to pick up for the collar. If I have to take out the top of the fronts to re-do the shoulder shaping, it won’t take too much effort.

I’m not crazy about the finished piece. I don’t like how the collar lays. I think I’d add some increases to the collar at about 1/2 an inch.

It’s cute enough, but I don’t think I’ll knit it again.
