2/1/14 - So I finished the hat and it is nothing like the picture in the pattern. That is totally my fault for making so many alterations to the pattern. This yarn is just not cut out for this pattern.

I still like the hat, though. I think it’s pretty and it’s certainly soft. It will make a great chemo cap.

I may try this pattern again in the future, using a more suitable yarn, and see how it goes.

1/30/14 - I’ve finished the crown and started the body of the hat. I’ve got about 10 rows of the garter stitch pattern done. I’m concerned that it might be a bit big. I’m going to slip the stitches on to waste yarn and try it on tonight.

The pattern is fun, though and this yarn is super soft. I really like how the hat is turning out.
