Bought this sweater along with two others at Goodwill. Did not like the style at all of this sweater, but the yarn. ohhh the yarn. Found the pattern page on Ravelry of the original knitter and the yarn is Madeline Tosh Knits. Ripping the original to turn it into a Weekender

Sleeve Mods- 6 decreases every 7 rows as pattern calls. The next 6 decreases I only did 5 rows apart to get a tighter fit on my arm. Started cuff after sleeve decreases. Knit an extra inch on each cuff because I like a sweater that comes up to the base of my fingers.

So theres a story behind this sweater. The story started at Goodwill. I picked up an ill-fitting, awkward designed sweater. For $2.50z But the yarn… oh the yarn was squishtastic. I took it home and decided to turn it into my #recycledsweater . Through another sweater I purchased at goodwill, and perusing the knitter’s projects I found that there was 1600 yards of Mad Tosh Vintage astonished! Then I pulled out the old sweater. I reskeined all the yarn. I soaked all the yarn and dried it. Caked it all up and turned it into this gorgeous #weekendersweater .
Then foolishly I blocked it in the sun. The sleeves were folded over and i had fade lines. I tried rewashing it which didnt work. So today I laid it in the sun again, just for a little while. The fade might still be there, but its not obvious. So its as happy as I can be right now. And Im glad I learned my lesson with this project. It was worth it.
