Found some gold bangles and a bead jewelry kit at the thrift store. So I decided to make a mandala and use the bracelet as the frame. I ended up changing to a dream catcher (I think it was the simple design as I wanted it very open) and using really fine variegated thread (maybe 30) and a bead at every join point. I had to play with the design and there was some frogging involved. But over all pleased with the result. the recipient loved it. I used a thicker crochet thread (maybe 20) to make a 2nd one and only added 1 bead in the main project and I liked it better.
