I made a slouchy version of this cap by knitting as written with larger needles.

CO w/ 5 mm
Knit Band w/ 3.75mm
Lace w/ 4mm

The Necklace:
Sweet Heart Tatted Book Mark
is the pattern by kerstilee. She has some great tatting patterns. And the ‘gold chain’ is just a crochet chain of Coats metallic quilting thread. I think I used a 1mm hook.
