Starting just past a peak, sc to the first valley. Sc dec across 3, continue sc to the peak. Sc, ch 40, connect to next peak with sc. Continue to end of round. Do not join but work in rounds. Rd, sc to valley, sk center st, continue sc to peak. sc across chain. rd, 3, sk center in peak. rd 4, sc 3 together.

Back side, rd. 1 & 2 same as front. Rd. 3, sc in st before center of valley, ch. 6, sk center, sc in next. This is the button loop. rd. 4, sc around as usual, sl st into each ch. of ch 6 loop.

Line if desired, add button to front, and tassel to middle of loop chain (optional).
