R2) Do not turn. Sl st into top of 1st sc to form ring. Sc in same st, sc around (worked in continuous rounds). Mark last st. for counting
R3) sc around
R4)sc in next 2 sts, inc around
R5) sc around
R6)* sc 3, inc* around
R7-24)sc around
R25) sl st in next st, skip 14 sts, sl st to 15 (this should form 2 equal openings of 14 sts each.

Legs: Continue to sc around first leg for a total of 23 rows. If adding a sock color, stop early and work last 2-4 rows in sock color.

Shoes: Start in center back of leg. Rounds may not exactly match stitch count. Adapt, but do the same on both feet!
