Very similar to how I made this one, follow link for lots of detailed notes: https://www.ravelry.com/projects/toriellen/groovyghan

For the ripple panel, I did 3 rows of taupe, followed by 5 rows other color. Odd numbers of rows keeps the yarn ends evenly distributed on both sides (avoids one-sided bulkiness). Also, I worked row 1 of the new yarn in the back loop on the right side, and in the front loop in the wrong side, to add some ridges/texture.
