Saw this pattern and loved it, so I decided to dive in. The pattern was INCREDIBLY easy to work through and the only thing I saw wrong was the color listed to work the outer eye (should be A: soft white). The body of the blanket could have been finished in one day had I not started later in the evening. Then the next day I was sick as was my 4 year old so I took long breaks due to resting. All told, it was four days start to finish. It would have been done sooner but I always get bored with the finish work.

The leaves attach perfectly using whip stitch as would the branches,beak and talons. The eyes and flowers lose their shape with whip stitch (at least for me) so I used a running stitch to attach them. The close up is of the flower done with whip stitch and it doesn’t look very flowery. Final size ended up being 34.5” diameter.
