Notes

If you’re looking for a super-quick project, then Eric could well be your man! Well, starfish. Each side took me about an hour and then it was just a case of slip-stitching the two pieces together using trusty goldfingering… so there’s no sewing! I repeat, NO SEWING! Even his smile is super-quick (so long as you’ve been good and prepared the felt beforehand).

When I was designing Eric, I wanted to create something palm-sized and tactile, which he definitely is. Even better, he doubles as a decoration, either for the Christmas tree or for all year round maritime merriment! Eric was a lot of fun to make so I’ll definitely be making more starfish in the future, perhaps one with super-chunky wool, another with a different colour on each side and maybe even a laceweight one!
