What a great knit, even if it did get mighty heavy towards the end! Would be great to knit one in wool someday. This is my first Romi pattern but it certainly won’t be my last.

The Dazzleaire yarn belonged to my grandmother (Katrina’s great-grandmother) who passed away almost 2 years before the wedding, and I decided to use it to add the four rows of pure white within the outermost border as a memento.

06/06/2015: This is flying by. Although having just increased to 432 stitches, I expect it will start getting slower :-). Loving the fabric I am getting with the Vintage Chunky.

06/17/2015: Up to 576 sts on a 60” needle and will soon be adding c4…thinking I am going to need to add another circ by the time I hit the final increase to 864 sts.

07/15/2015: Stalled at round 180…need another skein of Breezeway; lot 1101 is just too light.

07/28/2015: Used up the extra skein of Breezeway I bought and needed yet another skein, so used the 1101 anyway; only needed it for 1.5 rounds. Not only is it lighter but I bet the farm it’s regular Vintage, not Chunky.

Also, my stinking cable broke! Snapped right off at the needle due no doubt to heaving around so much weight as I worked. Ordered another through Amazon with 1-day shipping.

08/08/2015: No knitting while my doggie house guest was here :-) but back at it now…one more round and time to start the border.
