Notes

Meredith is learning to play the violin. As part of getting the hand-me-down violin in order, we had to purchase new rosin, a set of strings, and a shoulder rest. There is no place in the instrument’s hard case for a shoulder rest, which is, essentially, the Bat Signal of knitting. “You mean an item must be transported from point A to point B and it has no means by which to be toted? TO THE KNITTING NEEDLES!”

Pattern modified by way of knitting the body of the pouch to be long enough to contain the length of the shoulder rest, and the continuing on to knit the flap, omitting the 2 BO stitches meant to accommodate a palm antenna.
