These are perfect to knit for my friend’s birthday and they will remind her of the beautiful lavender that grows in my garden every summer. It’s hard having a friend that lives on the other side of the world (Australia) so knitting these for her will bring her a little closer…

I’m not too sure about picot cast on and the fact that it may be loose around the ankles so I’m going to do a traditional 2x2 rib cast on and take it from there. I’ve chosen two shades of lavender to knit contrasting heels and cuffs and toes.

Few days later and ta-da, socks complete. Love them and I’m sure my friend will too

Pattern notes:
12 rows of 2x2 rib in darker shade
2 knit rows in lighter shade
Go straight to pattern - 3 repeats of pattern then start heel flap
