12 April. Excited that my yarn has arrived and I don’t even have to wind it so diving straight in. I’ve not knitted with a cotton/merino blend before and ordering off a website I wasn’t sure what to expect but I am very pleased with it! After a few rows of the neckband it is knitting up beautifully - the cotton adds crispness whilst the merino keeps it beautifully soft and warm.

9 May…fast forward nearly a month later, without any help from an injured thumb !! I’ve finally finished the yoke. Nearly a thousand bobbles, and boy it felt like it. After separating the sleeves, this is flying along and very relaxing knitting. Just a pity I can’t do more with my thumb which is slowly healing, so forcing myself to be patient… not something I’m all that familiar with!

2 June. Very nearly finished this on a day trip to the seaside yesterday - just left with the bottom hem which I finished this afternoon and the tee is currently blocking. Final photos to follow.

Fantastic opportunity to test knit this although I didn’t make the deadline due to my thumb injury. I love how this has turned out but the bobbles were intensively hard work on my hands in this cotton blend - would think carefully about yarn choices were I to knit it again.
