Provisionally cast on 101 sts. Knit 148 rows of 3 st cross (4 row repeat) from “Miralda” on page 108 of “Knitted Lace Of Estonia”.

P/U 97 sts along each side and provisional sts. for total of 396. (97 sts per side with two corner stitches on each corner). Then the first 12 rows of “Miralda Upper Border” (page 107. Increases at corners QOR using R and L slanted twisted increases instead of YO increases.

Begin lace pattern (#130 in Japanese book of 500 knitting patterns) and complete 5 repeats of 14 row pattern, ending on row 12 of last pattern (724 sts). Then repeat the first 12 rows of “Miralda Upper Border”, decreasing 1 st in center of each side on row 6 to have symmetrical gathered stitches.

768 stitches, begin lace edging pattern from “Bridgewater”. 77 grams of yarn left (423 yards) as I begin the lace edging.
Finally finished edging with 16 yds. left. (3 gms)

Blocked to 54” square, relaxed to 52. Quite nice!
