Notes

Cast on 50 stitches. I seem to be getting 5.5 or 6 spi in garter stitch, so it might come out a little on the small side… Fingers crossed! If I’m still nervous about the size after the increases, I will probably frog and start again with size 6 needles.

I’m doing button-holes on the wrong side (Row 4, Row 12, Row 20?). Hopefully this will be the correct alignment for girl’s sweaters.

NOTE: As of 8/29, I’m working on a different baby sweater and am increasingly worried that this baby sweater is going to be way too small.

Having consulted many notes, I’m thinking that I should try a 60 st cast on (10” neck circ).

When dividing for sleeves, it will be 32 st front, 35+14 for each sleeve, 49 st for back (total = 183 st)

Ended up with 20.5 grams leftover. This is way huger than I thought it would be (see second picture for comparison). I think my gauge may have loosened somewhere along the line, because I’m getting 5 spi over garter stitch and about 5.6 spi for the gull lace pattern.
