I will force myself to wait to cast this on until AFTER I’m done with the Vortex blanket.

…Or so I thought. But I cast on for the first square while getting my washing machine fixed, and now I need to do a few more squares so I can figure out what color pattern I want to go with…

4/10 - I got two squares out of the first skein of the Teal Wisdom yarns, with some yarn leftover. I’m not sure if there’s enough for a third square, so I’ve started on the black-teal yarn. I think the color changes might be a little too subtle.

4/16 - For the first black-teal square, I found that there was a loooong stretch of black-ish yarn… so I knit one mitered square using yarn from the outside of the skein.

11/18 - Yes, it took me this long to piece the squares together and knit the half-square panels. Each half-square panel seems to take about 30 g of the white yarn.

I still haven’t measured the final blanket. It’s excellent as a one-person blanket, and I suspect it would look fine on a twin or single bed -- ours is a queen-sized bed, which makes the blanket look a little puny.

It took something like three days to dry after I soaked and spun it in my washing machine.
