Used the bracelet stitch elements to add the ring and the hand piece connecting the ring and bracelet. The crystals are acrylic sew-on 13mm x 18mm ovals, color clear aurora borealis.
Would easily transition to a barefoot sandal - the bracelet part around the arch of the foot and add a back strap.
This vintage thread has a pretty clear aurora borealis thread wrapped in.
Hand piece
Row 1: Front of bracelet facing away, join thread at desired place at left with sc. Make a ch long enough to extend to ring and back (abt 8” for large), or if not making ring, make long enough to lp under finger and back. Being careful ch is not twisted, join at desired place on right with sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in ea ch around, sl st in bracelet to join.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in bracelet, (ch 3, sk 3 sts of loop, sc in next st of lp) across, sl st in bracelet.
Row 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in bracelet, {4 sc in ch-3 sp, sl st in same st as sc from prev rnd (enclosing the sc), ch 1, pull ch tight} across, sl st in bracelet. Fasten off.
Ring (optional - can make hand loop long enough to go around finger instead)
Ch 22 (large)
Rnd 1: Sc in 2nd ch fr hk and ea ch across to last ch, 3 sc in last ch, working on opposite side of foundation ch, sc in ea ch across to last, 3 sc in last.
Rnd 2: (If sts don’t come out exact fill in with a sc). Sc in next 2 st, (3 hdc in next, sk next, sc next, sk next) across, 3 sc in st on end, (3 hdc in same st as 3-hdc grp on opposite side, sk next, sc next, sk next) across, 3 sc on end.
Last row: Sc across to center, 2 hdc in next, 3 dc in next, 2 hdc in next, sc across to end.
Fold ring, sl st tog.
Join center of loop to ring projection.
