Notes

YAY!! This is my very first attempt at crochet or knitting colorwork!! I am so excited to find that it is simpler that I anticipated!!

I started with this small written pattern and the small skeins of cotton yarn so that I could avoid bobbins and graphs on the first go around but it was so easy-peasy that I would say DEFINITELY don’t let that stop you if you have been thinking of adding this fantastic skill to your bag of tricks!!

I recommend Crafty Andy You Tube videos if you want to see how to change colors in a row.

This pattern came from a Patons book printed in 2009. (WHERE did you get THAT HAT!) I modified it from a 5 color to a 4 color hat and made a few other changes as well but you could write them in Canada if you cannot find the book in print anywhere else. I bought mine at Yarn Designer’s Boutique, 439 W. Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear City, CA, 92314, www.yarndesignersboutique.com
