This pattern was free and easy to follow. I should have added about an inch to the body of the hat for a men’s sizing but because it is made from the edge up, it can be tried as you make it and can be customized to fit any member of the family!

The Merino Wool I chose is gorgeous but very difficult to photograph as you can tell by the pictures. It comes in many luxurious shades but they are not named so the colors above are my description. This pattern should work up well in any thick yarn. A gauge is not given in the pattern but one may not be needed due to the adjustable nature of the hat.

This is a pattern I will be making again! Maybe pink next time :). I may just make the cable part into a headband!!
