I made this headband out of the cabled band section of this hat pattern. This is my second time to use this pattern and this time I did not worry about the provisional cast on or the Kitchener stitch since the seam is in the back.

I also found it useful to go ahead and write down the row numbers on the pattern and use a row counter since I am new to cabling. It is an easy repeat tho if you don’t have any interruptions or are good at counting your working rows.

I’m sewing my pearl beads onto the finished work since I chose a thick, chenille yarn. If you choose a thinner yarn, you could thread them on before hand and bring them up as you need them. Be sure and thread more than you need, you can’t add them after you’ve started.
