Notes

LOVING THIS YARN/PATTERN COMBO!!!! I’m using size 13 needles for the black one and so far it’s looking fantastic!
Started the green one and am using size 15 needles for it.
As for weight, Bernat Roving is much lighter than the other yarn I am using.
My fav…. I like the Burly Spun much better for this pattern,. The Bernat Roving is really nice to the touch, and a pleasure to knit with, but splits easily…
The Burly Spun by Brown Sheep is so heavy and warm, it compliments this pattern perfectly. When I first saw this pattern I thought of the many cold and chilly nights spent at home in the snow with only a wood burning stove to warm my family. I don’t want a lightweight anything in cold like this.
At the same time, If I lived somewhere where it did not snow much, but got chilly, I would recommend Bernat Roving for this project. Bernat Roving was a dream to knit with, and is very light weight.
Both yarns slid off my needles, and both were very pleasant to knit with.
