Notes

-Eliminated eyelets for waistband and knit 1” stockinette/knitting in the round, purled one round, and continued in stockinette. Folded over the first 1” of knitting to create a tube for elastic and sewed into place.

-Knit 15” of stockinette before beginning lace pattern.

-based my size selection on the measurements of one of my favorite skirts…. and the fact that the knitted fabric is very stretchy.

-easy to try on as I go!

-the lace is really fun to knit and pretty easy to memorize after a few rounds.

-finished knitting and bind off (whew! that was long) and seamed waistband for elastic. Inserted elastic and tried on -- perfect fit! wow. very flattering skirt!

-hoping to get some photos up soon. Will be wearing this to Rhinebeck 2013!

March 2015 Update: I LOVE this skirt and wear it so much. It fits great, is very comfortable, and has held it’s shape well. I love the way the ruffle has a little bounce in it as I walk. Very fun to wear.
