Notes

I wanted to do color pooling with variegated thread to make jewelry, and I love Lizbeth thread for jewelry. However, the colors don’t change rapidly enough for jewelry-sized pooling.

This square is 3.5” and that’s only because I altered the usual moss stitch (a.k.a. linen, seed, granite stitch) to suck up way more of each color into its stitches than normal. I wanted to bring each color down to only 3-4 stitch repeats. If I’d stuck with only sc, ch 1, each color would have been more like 10-14 stitch repeats! Nope.

It’s a type of puff-moss stitch. It made the pinks seem like rosebuds while I was crocheting them, although once finished, the greens come at my eye more.

Come to think of it, I should blog the process. The stitch pattern could come in handy for people. I’ll post the blog link here.
