This is the third of three jewelry cord patterns in the Interweave Crochet magazine, summer 2013 issue. It illustrates one of three handy ways to bead love knots. This method is uncommon, probably partly because it’s a little finicky -- but really worth it, especially for a small project with a lot of impact, like jewelry. Shown here are two because I promptly made myself another.

The beading methods work for other crochet stitches too, but love knots really show off one’s choices.

I find in my classes that beading love knots is a great way to learn about crocheting with beads, while also being a great way to appreciate all the special qualities of love knots!
