Discussed a bit in issue #58 of my newsletter.

This is the first of more designs that will each feature a different kind of Star stitch, for the class I’m teaching this July in Manchester NH called “A Star Stitch for Every Purpose.” (See pattern notes for more.)

This is a traditional - antique - star stitch pattern that I tweaked a little. I also used a sleek yarn that’s cool to the hand and drapes, so that this scarf would work for spring, and transitional weather. It also looks great with jeans. (Often, I see this kind of star stitch used for baby blankets and thick, thermal, wooly mufflers, hoods, and hats, because the stitch pattern seems almost quilted!)
