I chained 41 with a 4.5mm crochet hook, then followed the swatch instructions on page 3. I kept going until I almost ran out of yarn for a total of 73 rows. Then I added two rows of front-loop slip stitches to each scarf end.

I didn’t expect to turn this into a scarf. It was supposed to be a practice swatch example for the “stitch games” pattern booklet I’m finishing up. I like so much what the colors were naturally doing and how the scarf feels that I just kept going until I used up all the yarn I have.

I love what the colors do along the scarf edges.
