I’m exactly halfway done with the main piece.

Two color panels done, two more to go! Blocking it so that I can add some surface crochet. Swatched fancy light blue Tahki yarns first, but I have a new idea for them. This lace weight Icelandic wool is exactly what I want to be using right now. My neighbor brought back one skein (273 yds) each of four colors and I’ve been wondering how to use them. Starting on aqua tonight. Fourth color will be charcoal.

Last Step

All four panels done, blocked and with end woven in so that I could wear it to a Christmas Eve party. Used only half of each ball. ACK! I could have made it a bit bigger!

Like it without any surface crochet though it’s a bit too minimalist for me. Though tempted to leave the frills off, I liked it when I tested some. I’ve added a minimum of them (on either side of the color joins). Blocking and deciding if I want to add MORE.
