Notes

Meandering, mischievous cables placed as the spirit moved me; tributaries braiding and merging, ebb and flow, slowing; forming an oxbow here, an eyot there; finally, the estuary reached, where fresh and salt co-mingle and river joins ocean, indistinguishable. A metaphor for a life. I love you, Cat. Thank you. This is probably my favorite knit experience of all time, albeit a bittersweet one.

Yarn color choice inspired by my 1988 bicycle trip from Canada to San Francisco, pedaling along the Elwha River in Washington (see photo). LOVE the Malabrigo Rios! Squishy, deliciously soft, non-splitty and low-pilling.
