This is a fortuitous project for right now:

• I adore the Foxglove colorway and it was available at my LYS only in the Chunky (bulky) yarn base,
• I’ve been wanting to try the Feather-and-Fan pattern to see if it’s loose enought for me to wear indoors without crushing my (big) hair,

I’d originally CO 72 st (6 pattern reps) on US 10 = 6mm and found it was too snug a fit: 18” unblocked and unstretched

With US 9 needles in use, chanced a move down to US 8 = 5mm, at least to start.

By Row 7 this was looking too crowded, so for the second purl row I moved back up to the US 10.
Thiss will mean less yarn hence a lighter hat (and more yardage of a pretty remnant ;-)

MOD:
added an extra K row (3 rather than 2) between the P row and the pattern YO/k2tog row - shows off the yarn more, less busyness.
