In August 2010, I went to Grande Bergeronne with four friends, North Shore of Saint Laurent, for Whale Whatching. The campsite where we stayed is called “Paradis Marin” and we could see the whales right from our place. WONDERFUL! Now I have to knit one of these Humpbacks!!

1. September 2010 The first few rounds are done. I have never done intarsia in the round, have to fiddle around a bit.

2. October 2010 Intarsia in the round… I had to turn and knit from the inside… now the belly is done and I start decreasing - I think the worst is over ;-)

23 November 2010 still not finished. Finns and fluke still to knit… and I want to make it for one of my friends who was with us in Grande Bergeronne. She has a cancer and really needs some strenght and comfort.

28 November 2010: our friend Judy passed away. And my project isn’t finished… this is one of the moments that brings to your awareness that you should never put up things you want to do for someone you love. One day it will be too late. Too late to give the whale to Judy.

18 December: I finished the Whale - I will call it Judy’s whale - and one of the other woman that was with us in the “Paradis Marin” will get it as a Christmas gift. She was Judy’s best friend. Judy would be happy about it…
