8/29: Finished! Had to redo the sleeves because my math was off, so it took a little longer than expected. Finished sewing it all together last night.

Fit is perfect, woo-hoo! Big relief, given how much I was jiggering with the stitch counts throughout. Love the look and feel of the finished sweater.

One note: I wanted a smaller neck opening, so I reduced the number of decreases on either side of the neck shaping on the front. Maybe I should then have reduced the number of stitches picked up when knitting the collar, but I kind of like the look of this, so I’m keeping it.

8/7: Front finished! On to sleeves…

7/28: Half-way through the front, and very happy with how the cabling looks. (Turns out reading a chart ain’t so hard, even lefty/backwards.) And have I mentioned how awesome this yarn is? Seriously. My hands get sad when they’re not touching it.

7/22: Finished the back. Burning through yarn, so I’m going back to buy an extra hank for peace of mind.

7/14/10: This yarn isn’t quite bulky enough to make the gauge, so I’m using smaller needles and adjusting the number of stitches upward. Also, I’ve worked out the pattern chart to adjust for my left-handedness and done a test swatch of the cabling - it all turned out well, so I think I’m ready to get started.
