I had always wanted to make another ingenue, one which fit me better. Also wanted to unravel my “thin leaf” cardigan and use it to make something better fitting.

I wanted to make a size medium, and this yarn gives about 20 sts per 10 cm, so I chose the 1X-Large to give me this.

But I cast on more stitches that called for, because the cowl neck was turning out too small. It just meant I had to do fewer increases before starting the division of sleeves and body.

I made cap sleeves instead of bell sleeves, ending with a couple of repeats of the ridge stitch.

I also changed the silhouette to an A-line one, based on my Black-eyed Susie instructions (but in reverse because that pattern is knit bottom up).

I’m very happy with the end result, which I like far more than what I’d originally knit with this yarn.
