The final size ended up being:
Top Edge: 59 inches
Bottom Edge: 85 inches
Fall (height): 16 1/2 inches (20 inches at the flared ends)

The yarn? Beyond amazing.

OK, I have had a couple of requests and while I am perfectly happy to send people my notes in a pdf I think it might be easier (and more instant gratification) for people to just put them in the notes here. Also, they make absolutely no sense if you don’t have the original pattern - just FYI.

Modifications for worsted weight version of Golden Lion Throne

Actual yardage used is about 310 yards per skein (not including swatch)

Finished sample swatch should measure 5 ½ in x 12 in with gauge of 8 st & 11 rows = 2 in square

Modify cast- on to seven repeats and add one stitch to each edging for a total of 193 stitches:
CO 9, pm, * CO 25, pm * x seven, CO 9

In solid portions, both beginning and ending, the edging should be changed to:
Right Side: s1-wyif, k2tog, YO, (work body), YO, ssk, s1-wyif
Wrong Side: k2, p1, k1, (work body), k1, p1, k2 on the wrong side
Except for rows 93 and 95, these rows deviate from the k2tog, YO pattern.
On Row 93 you will need to s1-wyif, k1, YO, (work body), YO, k1, s1-wyif
On Row 95 you will need to s1-wyif, k2tog, YO2, (work body), YO2, k1, s1-wyif

For the striped portions you no longer slip the stitch on the leading edge.
Right Side: k1, k2tog, YO, (work body), YO, ssk, s1-wyif
The wrong side is worked the same as above.
