Even though I’m not using the cat-ear construction, I’m claiming this as POINTY challenge 19 because topically pointy. Also challenges 28 and 43.

01/27: CO 100 alt 2x2 rib.
12 9 rounds rib, 3 rds knit, begin chart.
Fiddled with chart so jog would be at beginning of CO and at back of hat, which means I worked sts 13-24 3x, then sts 25-52 and 1-12 once each, and sts 13-24 2x more. I also shifted stitches on needles so I could have “resist” all on one needle instead of split (magic looping).
Worked chart 11 rounds, then 10 6 rounds knit, and because my row gauge was way over, changed to us6 and worked 2 rounds, begin decreases.
01/31: Holy cow. This came out ginormous, and a slouch, not a beanie.

02/04/17: frogged to be re-knit, but I’ll re-use this project page.

02/16 reboot: CO 100, 2x2, 9 rounds.
3 rds stockinette, 11 rds chart, 6 rds stockinette, 20 rds decreases. 42g pink, ~8g gray (50g total wt).
And no longer ginormous, more normal fit.
