This is so damn easy.
Cast on and started, but going to start again with colors reversed to see which way I want to go.
Yep, gonna use the one on the left, contrary to the pattern instructions that have you casting on with the lighter color.

week7 - is two colors several?
12/8: very little progress, but there is snow today, so there is better color and it doesn’t look black.
12/25: just shy of half yarn used; still 551 yds short to make 12K yards this year.
12/27: almost finished second skeins, another 100yds, but still 451yds short on the year
12/28: two skeins left (282yds), 404yds to reach 12K
12/29: 62g left, found dropped stitch 44 rows back. dammit. that to fix and another 289yds to 12K.
12/30: got it fixed, now to knit like the frickin’ wind
har har
I’m gonna be up until it’s next year, aren’t I?
12/31: Two hours left; I’ve reached the instruction size but have 29g left. Not sure if I’ll do one more repeat and then the 6 edge rows, BO. But I’m a little disconcerted to find my knitmeter has changed and I don’t see how to fix it.
01/01/17: Fin. 14g total remain; 8g gray, 6g teal. 792yds, 291g.
