Pattern is not written very well. I actually had to attempt the first hat four times before it came out they way it should for a child’s head. Some of the abbrv. are also wrong for the stitch needed.

It was also very hard to figure out where it was listed what hook to use. I didn’t see it the first few times so used a hook that was to big. I ended up with a successful hat using a 3.5 hook.

I also ended up changing the counts of stitches used.

I used Ch4 rather then Ch5

Row 1 8 dc in ring rather then 10 dc

Row 2 total 16dc

row 3 total 8 simple clusters

row 4 the first 2 dc I placed a sc rather then sl st, 8 total double clusters

row 5 the first 2 dc I placed a sc rather then sl st, 8 total double clusters and 8 total simple clusters

Row 6-7 same as row 5

Row 8 the first 2 dc I placed a sc rather then sl st, 16 total double clusters

Row 9-13 same as row 8 (rather then rows 9-15)

Row 14-16 do as pattern suggest for rows 16-20

My pattern only had a total rows of 16 rather then 20

I am not very happy with the way this pattern has you make the flowers. If I were to do the flowers again I would go find another pattern rather then use this one.

I think the biggest problem with this pattern was the language barrier problem.
