Notes

Warp 8/2 unmercerized cotton, 3360 ypp, natural
Weft various unmercerized cotton:
Hunter green 8/2
Imperial Purple 10/2
Amber 8/2
Emerald 10/2
Cobalt 8/2

Sett: 24 epi, sleyed 2 epd in a 12-dent reed

24” wide in the reed. 580 ends (24 repeats @24 ends + doubled floating selvage)

One fourth of warp is 10/2 (wound by mistake from wrong cone) sleyed across warp 1 in every other dent to forestall tension/take-up problems
Fixed 1 threading error (after weaving and unweaving 1 hem and 1 pattern repeat omg)

For hem, weave 1” at each end of each towel in straight-ish twill, then 1 pick of slippery yarn as spacer

For body: weave 32” of pattern

Finishing: Cut off loom, double zigzag ends.
Machine wash, warm.
Machine dry, hot, until bone dry to get max shrinkage out of the way
Cut apart, turn under raw edges, steam press and baste
Pull out slippery yarn and do drawn-thread hemstitch with either weft yarn (Cobalt), or 16/2 perle (the other 4)

Final dimensions:
21.5” wide (10.5% shrinkage)
27” long (excl hem) (15.6% shrinkage)

Thanks to LindaVK for linking in this post to a great hemstitching tutorial.
