A “Lord Of The Rings” inspired scarf

IT’S DONE! I have to block it yet but… it’s done!

I hope he loves it, I don’t mind if he doesn’t wear it, but I don’t think I could bear him losing it….

Ok HE LOVES IT, and, as I forgot to make some… made the FO pictures for me! (isn’t he nice?) AND he’s promised not to lose it. ;)

ABOUT THE PATTERN
as you can read in the forum thread, I used 2 different patterns to “design” the scarf.
I started it with some seed stitch rows
then I did a seed border on each side to prevent curling and started the 1st pattern.
For the trees I used this and for the braid this I wrote a pattern for the beginning and ending of the braid with the information I found here and some trial & error & frog & try again.
Running along the braid there’s two simple 6 st cable, both spinning inwards. I also tried to start and finish the cable the neatest possible.

I’ve learnt a lot doing this, and maybe I’ll do it differently if I were to do it again (not soon) but I’m very proud of the results.
clear enough, English is not my mother tongue so, the whole text can be full of mistakes.
