Very cute pattern! Made the smallest size. The beginning instructions say to knit until 1/4” from the rolled up edge. Since it’s hard to determine where the roll will actually end, I’d recommend knitting to 3/4” from the cast on edge.

Reading the comments on the pattern website, Purl Soho says not to worry about the floats being too long, but if I were to knit this again (which is very likely since it was a fun, quick and super cute baby project and I have plenty of yarn left to make several more), I’d probably catch the floats every few sts just to keep it a little more tidy on the inside - a toddler’s finger could definitely slip through one of the floats inadvertently.
